![]() Sometimes I think I have been doing this (IT) way too long. Simple straight up things I don't mind but I don't like going on hunts for buried treasure.lol. And nowadays I hate going through the registry consuming. I also know about setting the option in Chrome settings. Farbar Recovery Scan Tool is useful when malware or suspicious files cannot be detected or removed by your antivirus software. It scans and lists every item on your system to help you find malware. Perfect examples are two I can think of I took all Adobe products completely off my system but up until my last reboot Adobe Arm was still coming up in my prefetch and tabs open windows shows I don't 10-15 chrome processes and yes I understand how chrome works that why I got rid of all extensions except for three truly essential ones. If you want us to check your computer for malware: Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop. So one of the things I need to figure as I forgot is wherere Prefetch gets its instructions from because what happens overtime is you remove programs and not all developers write clean code so then you wind up with all this extra crap running taking up resources. Farbar Recovery Tool is a powerful diagnostic tool which can also be used by trained people to remove specific bad stuff. I will thanks and honestly checking something last night there was a program that was causing issues not damage persay but I had to make sure to uninstall it.Advanced System Care which is like scareware.I forgot it was scareware and it litterally can almost perform like a DOS attack. Once I uninstalled everything seems to be back to semi-normal minus the Oculus thing. Last night after FBAR I actually thought there was because the box was really acting up but that it would seem was due to the Zemana Antilogger as I stated. Then I want to doublecheck for malware which as you stated there was none. This is where all this came from originally and had some errors on the disk which I fixed. Vive's Infinity I would have to look into but their software doesn't seem to be running as slow as Oculus'. Oculus' software can be uninstalled and reinstalled without having to reload everything. It may be that something in the Oculus software install is corrupt and I might just need to uninstall Oculus' software. It's definitely not my bw, I am on on FIOS 1gb up and down. Oculus and Vive installs sometimes seem to be going slow sometimes. I know how to fix them just dcom are a pain and even if you fix them and an update comes out you can wind up right back where you were. Some DCOM errors but that to me is windows. I had Zemana Antilogger on the box just trying it out and that seemed to be causing all kinds of craziness. ![]() There was a different issue also though I had to tend to today.
